By holding a mass and a noise barrage, St. Joseph School – La Salle showed support for the sanctity life and protest against the approval of death penalty on March 8, OJH Civic Center.

The Eucharistic celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Roy Christian Gesulgon, Dean of Studies (Sacred Heart Seminary). It was followed by a noise barrage in response to D

e La Salle Phillippines’ call for #NoiseToLife against the house approval of the death penalty.

In his homily, Fr. Gesulgon stressed the importance of second chances in reference to the Old Testament prophet Jonah who was forgiven by the lord.

“To stand for life is part of our being a prophet,” he added. He also said, “Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.” This was explained by the examples of

Nicodemus Magdalene and St. Paul.

After the mass, Mrs. Maria Del Pilar Limas, the school director, said, “For life means we are for non-violence and for peace.”

Also, she challenged the members of the SJS-LS community to let their voices be heard and make a stand. The event was culminated through a noise barrage.
